First was the location - It was in Torralba Street. Though just in the city and very accessible, it was located in a rather dim and quiet place - which I really like as it's a hole-in-a-wall kind.

Third was the food. We ordered three dishes only - Sinigang na Isda, Chiken halang-halang and Adobong Pusit. We were 4 and we just really loved it. The taste's really native though we expected more coconut milk on the halang-halang. But overall, the food was superb!

Fourth, the price. I tell you, even my mom was amazed. They offer great food at really affordable prices.
Fifth was the service. The waiters were very attentive. We ordered another platter of rice and in less than 20 seconds, it's on our table already.
The above review just proves how deserving Gerarda's to be in tripadvisor's no. 1 spot as they serve more than just great food.
For your reference, here's a glimpse of their menu!
I highly recommend this place!
Thanks Ivy! Nakapa useful po ng review niyo about Gerarda at lalong lalo na po ung pagpost niyo ng menu po nila! Nakatulong po talaga sa amin. God willing po pupunta po kami ng Bohol this coming Oct. 20 - 24 then mag Ferry to Cebu then after just 1 day we will go to Davao and stay there for 5 days before coming back to Manila. Salamat po sa Dios! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Bernadette! I'm glad you found my blog helpful. Honestly, I would have been really excited for your trip here in Bohol had the earthquake not devastated some of the tourist attractions. As of this writing, we are still experiencing aftershocks and still don't know whether the attractions are opened to the public. However, I still wish you a very safe and memorable travel in Visayas and Mindanao. :)
