The Chillage

Along the strip of Cebu Doctor's University lies a very cool and artsy place named The Chillage.

Located at the ground floor of Adnama Building, I am happy I found this cafĂ©/store.

And I tell you, once you enter the place, every single angle seems to be picture-perfect!

The place displays a lot of stuff – from furnitures to shirts to accessories..

While I was busy taking the above pics, my colleagues started to order..

I heard this Taparoni is recommended much. So, I ordered one. I did not waste time while waiting for our orders. What the heck am I supposed to do in such a very artsy place with a cam in my hand?

And then the chips came..

chili cheese
I could still remember that appetizing taste of the tomato 'n tuna and that chili cheese. My God. The best appetizers so far..

Then, the sandwich came..

The Chorizo & Cream Pasta - unexpectedly yummy!

The Taparoni - tastes like a spaghetti for me..

We've had mango and blueberry cheesecakes for dessert. However, I thought it would last long on the table. Too bad, I only got this pic. They taste really good!

Before leaving, we just really need to have this shot. The place is just too nice to be taken for granted by a lady with a portable gadget.

I really believe this wouldn't be my last visit here. I'm planning to go back and experience this cafe at night and really feel how chill this place would be. :)

Bintana

After the Redemptorist Church is a residential area I care nothing about until we had our Payday Habit.

Honestly, I haven’t been to this part of Cebu in my almost 8-year stay. So, thanks to the team for finding this coffee house named Bintana.

A white house which actually hosts a painting exhibition (very obvious as you enter) and serves meals, burgers, coffee, desserts, etc.

The place was not that big but it was air-conditioned and there is also a patio for al fresco dining.

Then, we ordered.. There's no menu handed to us individually but there's a board in the counter where you get to see everything available. And they will take your order at the counter as well.

While waiting, an officemate ordered coffee which the lady made in front of us.

The measurements and time in making the coffee were precise. Then she had several instructions after.. (1) You have to drink a small amount of water before drinking the coffee (2) You have to smell it first then slurp it to really experience that distinct taste. Amazing, isn't it? And it tastes good according to those who tried.

Then, after some time, our orders were served!

Baked Chicken

Spicy chicken

Bintana Burger - really different. A must-try!
Too bad, I was not able to take some pics of their other best-seller, Sweet Porkchop which was also good. And as you can see, we did enjoy our orders.

As we only have an hour and 30 minutes to enjoy this coffee house, we took a souvenir shot. One of the very few times that our team is complete. :)

Fuzion Gourmet

Due to an unexpected exploration last night, I recommended this place to my officemates who seem to be so spontaneous and decided to have lunch here immediately. Well, why not? Haha

This French restaurant is located in Mango square mall, almost opposite to the Caltex gasoline station, opened last July, 2013 only.

the facade

It's in the lower ground floor, so you won't immediately notice it. When we entered, we saw the very cute interiors. My colleagues even commented it's like going to Sleeping Beauty's castle. Indeed..

cute tables

the cuter ceiling!

cutest couple!
The whole picture-taking process took so much time we even forgot to order first. We only ordered as we settled down. Wrong move. Haha

Anyway, waiting was not really a big deal since the food were served within 15-20 minutes. Here's our orders!

Lasagna - It really tastes good except for a thick pasta and we were used to more creamy ones.

Back ribs - I wasn't able to taste this but when a colleague was asked, she preferred Chez's ribs more. I have no idea why. Sorry..

Adobo Pie - Kind of unique and my other colleague was very satisfied with this.

Hungarian Sausage - Well, I guess all Hungarian sausages taste the same. It was well-grilled. I love the level of spice. I'm not sure though if this has to be eaten with any condiments since as you see, my plate's dry.

Roma burger - I wasn't able to taste this too. But my colleague enjoyed this one. She wasn't even able to finish it!

Crispy Chicken - one of their best-sellers and most affordable meals.

Not in the picture is another best-seller, Pork BBQ.

Then we ordered Hot Cafe Latte, Mocha Frappe (best-seller) and apple juice!

Overall, the experience was great. The staff were very attentive and understanding. The food was good but I think they can improve more.

To satisfy your curiosity, here's their menu:

This is not really a hole-in-the-wall but worth the try!
