Davao City!

After the busy season, we all just needed some time to rest and chill out. Of course, this wouldn't just mean to stay at home or eat somewhere. By chilling, we mean going to a place where you can't think of work for days. Well, it just so happened that Davao was the place. And I loved it!

Actually, we won't have gone there had our counterparts in SGV Davao didn't help us. So, to the adventure you would all see, we owe it to them. Thanks a bunch guys!

Our Davao Trip started with our 6:00 AM flight from Cebu (Saturday). It was just a short trip actually (less than an hour). This was my first time and I had my cam.

Greeting upon arrival

I knew I'm not lost when I saw this
We hailed a cab to take us to our meeting place, the SGV Davao Office where we would meet with our colleagues!

with the SGV Davao and Cebu Tax Team!
After touring their amazingly huge office, we bought breakfast and headed to Margie's.

cupcakes and cakes! :)

After breakfast and some sweets, we headed to our accommodation, the Green Windows Dormitel.

at the hotel's lobby
We had occupied a mixed dorm-type room and there was actually no problem with this. Haha. You can read my trip advisor review here.

So, after settling down, we were fetched by an L300 van to our first ever destination, DECA's Wakeboarding site!

Since we never really had an experience on wakeboarding, we couldn't just try it. We settled for knee boarding instead which was actually unforgettable!

We had so much fun on this activity. This actually costs 600 per person and you can enjoy it for 4 hours! A must-try!

We went back to the hotel to change and prepare for dinner. I got really excited when we stopped in front of the resto and seeing that they serve my favorite dish - UNLIMITED!

Crabs Buffet for dinner!

Enjoying the food
After that sumptuous dinner, we headed to the cafe known for their durian coffee, Blugre Cafe!

don't miss this coffee!

Well, I'm not really a fan of durian fruit. It just so happened that I love coffee and trying something new was worth taking! Here's my review in tripadvisor.

Before heading to the hotel, we stopped by the Abreeza mall, Davao's ayala mall.

some random shop in the mall
What a day!

The second day was island hopping! We stopped by some fruit stalls to buy durian.

I really am in Davao
Then, we boarded a boat to take us to the spots where we can all swim and enjoy.

Too bad, we weren't able to visit Samal island. But still, we enjoyed it!

The island hopping ended around 4 pm. We took some rest and prepared for dinner. There's just so much buffet places in Davao. As to our dinner, we went to Buffet Palace. The food was great and since this was a treat of Ms. Che. Hehe

After the dinner, we headed to another palace, the World Palace. We were not there to eat but to sing ourselves out!!!

very cute rooms!

go geng!

As I am really fond of going to KTV bars, I could really say this one's unique and know why here.

That was our second day!

Our last day started in the office to meet with the other tax teammates. Then, we headed to the uphill area of Davao to try the city's zipline.

Before engaging themselves, we ate lunch first to this place just opposite the zipline (sorry, i just couldn't remember). And for the first time in my life, I ate a crocodile.

All I could remember was that the crocodile meat has some sweetness in it.

Anyway, they've gone ziplining.

that's ZIPCITY

preparing for take off
We then stopped by some stalls to buy some delicacies, went back to Abreeza, headed back to the office and then to the aiport.

Davao is a very huge city. Exploring this in 3 days might not be enough. But I am really glad to have seen a bit of what it could offer. Who knows, I might go back and explore the places I've never been to. And you should too! :)

IT'S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!
